This Privacy Policy explains how Upstimate (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and safeguards information when you visit our website, create an account, and use our order workspace and Broker Price Opinion (“BPO”), condition inspection and data-entry services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Upstimate helps licensed real estate agents and brokers complete the BPO and valuation orders they have been assigned. When you send us an order, you provide us with property and assignment information so we can prepare a draft report for your review and submission.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, brokerage or company, email address, and the password you set when you register for our order workspace.
• Order information — the property details, valuation forms, comparable data, photos, and any assignment or order details you upload or enter. This may include information about third parties (such as an owner, occupant or borrower) contained in the assignment you received.
• Communications — messages, support requests and feedback you send us.
• Technical and usage data — limited information such as browser and device type, IP address, and the pages you view, collected to operate, secure and improve the Services.

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as display settings), and operate core features of the workspace. We do not use them to sell your information. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work without them.

How we use your information

• To create and administer your account and the order workspace.
• To complete the BPO, condition inspection and data-entry orders you request.
• To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
• To send order updates and, where permitted, service-related communications.

Order data & confidentiality

Property information, valuation forms and order details you share are treated as confidential and are used solely to complete your requested Services. We never sell this information. Where an order contains third-party personal information, we process it on your behalf and at your direction. You are responsible for confirming that you are permitted to share that information with us (see our Terms of Service). We are happy to sign a mutual NDA on request.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us operate the business — such as hosting, infrastructure and email providers — under obligations of confidentiality and only as needed to deliver the Services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Data retention & security

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and meet our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of non-essential communications at any time, by contacting us at bpos@upstimatebpo.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor those rights as required.

Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for real estate professionals and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated policy.
